I expect that the measures taken by the Zonal Education Office, Dehiattakandiya as a leading Educational Zone in Eastern Province to design a website would be helpful for the upliftment and efficacy of entire educational process.
Message from the Zonal director of Education..
Dehiattakandiya Educational Zone is one of the hundreds of Educational Zones in Sri Lanka which gives education for more than fifteen thousands of students in the area. Since 1987 the year when it was started as an Educational Zone, the number of students who was produced with good qualities especially knowledgeable and attitudinal is extremely large. Throughout the journey that we are moving forward, this Digital platform can be introduced as a crucial point. By conducting and supervising around 1000 people of academic and non-academic staffs of 47 schools, it is believed that this would be greatly helpful for the purpose of molding knowledgeable, intelligent, disciplinary and effective students that suit and demanded by the requirements of local and international communities.
The necessity of modern approach to fulfill the educational needs of children of agrarian parents in the Mahaweli System “C” was felt since my arrival here. While finding solutions for some timely issues, it is badly felt that the usage of modern technology is more effective. This is a result of an endeavor which made to keep our students warm even though they are under their teachers’ supervision, while we are staying away from them.
